Techtips number 1 DropSend Basic

DropSend Basic
Getting started with DropSend is a simple process and takes less than 2 minutes to set up. There are two ways you can create an account with DropSend, you can use our Express Form on the homepage or choose a membership from our Plans & Pricing page. Using our Express Form simply fill in the fields and choose the file you wish to send then click on “Send Now”. We will automatically create an account for you using your email address as your UserID and we’ll assign you a temporary password (which you can change later). Or you can click the Pricing & Signup button on the homepage and choose from one of our membership plans. Fill in the fields on the account information page and an account will be created for you.

When you are logged into your account click on the Files tab and choose the option to ‘Send a File’. Click on the ‘To’ field and type in the email address for the recipient(s) you wish to send to (hint: you can also set up an address book and list all of your favorite contacts). Complete the form as you would in a normal email, choose the file you want to deliver and click ‘Send’. Note: you can keep a copy in storage by checking off the radio button. Afterwards return to the ‘Files’ section and monitor when the file you sent is picked up by clinking on the Sent folder. It’s that easy to send large files – up to 2GB!

Technology Tip

DropSend Advanced
DropSendDirect is the new downloadable application developed on the Adobe AIR platform to easily and quickly send large files directly from your desktop. You can easily configure your desktop to add Drag and Drop functionality to your file sending. Here’s how…

Dropsend is compatible with all modern browsers and operating systemsThis assumes you’ve already installed DropSendDirect onto your desktop. Click on the DropSendDirect desktop icon and while holding down the mouse button drag it onto the Quick Launch toolbar*.

Now whenever you want to send a file quickly you simply drag and drop the file onto the DropSend icon. This will launch the DropSendDirect application and all that’s left to do is to address it to a recipient.

For example: choose a file from within Windows Explorer, highlight it and drag and drop it onto the DropSendDirect quick launch icon.

Tip: you can also drag and drop files directly into the ‘Add Files’ area while the user interface for DropSendDirect is open.

*For more information on the Quick Launch toolbar consult “Help & Support” within the Windows operating system.

Doogle on Duty stops click fraudClick Fraud Detection & Prevention
Pay per Click advertising networks like Google, Microsoft  and Yahoo attempt to put fraud prevention technologies into place with the goal of preventing click fraud. However, it is difficult to identify which clicks are fraudulent. That’s where WebForza’s DoogleOnDuty anti-click fraud technology comes into play. DoogleOnDuty allows PPC advertisers to identify exactly who is clicking on their ads by monitoring several key factors including the IP address of the click. To learn more go to: www.DoogleOnDuty.com

What is Click Fraud
Click fraud takes place on the Internet. It’s predominantly found in pay per click search advertising such as Google AdWords, Microsoft AdCenter and Yahoo Search Marketing. Click fraud occurs when an individual or group of people act as a legitimate user by clicking on an ad, for the sole purpose of generating a cost per click while not having an interest in the  ad itself. There is also technology known as click bots that play in the click fraud space.

Examples of Click Fraud

Competitors of advertisers: A competitor can hurt a fellow competitor who advertises in the same market by clicking on their pay per click ads. Their goal is to increase the cost to the competitor because the advertiser must pay for worthless or multiple clicks. If the competitor has a set budget, this can deplete their budget faster. Thus removing their ads altogether.

Web site publisher: a publisher of a web site may try to profit from Google’s AdSense ads being clicked.

Competitors of web site publishers: A web site publisher’s competing web site may want to eliminate the relationship between the web site publisher and the pay per click programs by causing it to look like the publisher is clicking on its own ads to generate revenue. The goal is to kill the AdSense source of revenue for competing web site publishers.
