1.) Facebook

Despite its flaws, Facebook is still a great place to send files such as images. You’re free to share as many photographs as you’d like with other people.

The fact that Facebook is so widely used is a major plus. Even if your family members aren’t active on the network, chances are they have a Facebook account because of the platform’s massive user base of 2.5 billion.

Due to its widespread usage, Facebook makes it simple to send files (mainly images) to others. You may build a private album and send it to other Facebook users in a matter of seconds. Email addresses don’t matter, and attempting to convince your family’s “tech illiterate” members to learn a new app isn’t an issue either.

On the other hand, the problems with Facebook’s privacy policies are widely known. Many individuals nowadays are apprehensive about disclosing their private information, including images.

2.) Services for Cloud-based Storage

Using a cloud storage service is added option to securely send files on the internet. Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropsend are the three most popular options.

Google Drive offers 15GB of free storage to all users. OneDrive gives you 5GB of storage, and Dropsend gives you 10GB of storage with their basic plan. 

Fast and low-cost picture sharing may be a great way to stay in touch with loved ones.

Each service lets you establish a folder, upload the images you wish to share with your family, and then either share the folder user-by-user or share a sharable link with your friends and relatives. You’ll need the recipient’s email address to proceed.

3.) Apps for Texting and Instant Messaging

So far, we’ve looked at two methods to send files like images, all of which focus on doing so in bulk. They aren’t the best choice to send files like quick pictures or family home movies. When that happens, use an instant chat program.

While many would go for WhatsApp out of habit, it’s not the ideal platform for sending and receiving photographs. Each image/video may only be 100MB in size, with a maximum of 30 images/videos being sent at a time.

Instead, Telegram allows you to send files up to 1.5GB in size. If you really wanted to, you could email 4K photographs using the service.

4.) USB Flash Drive

Remember to always have a reliable USB memory stick on hand as well. As long as everyone is within close proximity and has the necessary equipment, this method to send files will be a breeze. While the photographs are being uploaded, you don’t have to wait around.

Since a 128GB memory stick is generally low-cost, there’s no excuse not to carry one in your bag or vehicle at all times.
