But some users prefer to not have a lot of software start on system boot. This is usually a good idea if you don&#8217;t use DropSend direct every day or if your computer is slow on startup. By default DropSend Direct does not launch on Windows or Mac boot. But if yours does, there are three ways for you to easily change that.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h4>Via DropSend Direct Preferences<\/h4>\n<p>The easiest way to prevent DropSend Direct from loading on system startup is through the program&#8217;s settings:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open DropSend Direct and click on <strong>File (Windows) <\/strong>or right-click on the small DropSend icon at the top right <strong>(Mac)<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"DropSend Direct Files\" src=\"http:\/\/www.personalcomputerfixes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/DropSend_Direct_file.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"520\" height=\"409\" \/>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Preferences<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>In the new window that appears, go to the <strong>General<\/strong> tab and uncheck the <strong>Launch at system startup<\/strong> checkbox<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Launch\" src=\"http:\/\/www.personalcomputerfixes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/Dropsend_Direct_Startup.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"454\" height=\"218\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Via MSCONFIG (Windows)<\/h4>\n<p>If you are a Windows user \u00a0and like to manage all your startup items from one place, then you can use MSCONFIG to control what programs start when you switch on your computer. Here is how:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click on <strong>Start<\/strong> and type <strong>msconfig<\/strong> in the <strong>Search<\/strong> box<\/li>\n<li>When the utility opens, go to the <strong>Startup<\/strong> tab and uncheck DropSend Direct&#8217;s entry<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Apply<\/strong>, then click <strong>OK<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Reboot your <strong>PC<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>Via System Preferences (Mac)<\/h4>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Mac users can manage their login items from System Preferences:<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to <strong>System Preferences<\/strong> and then navigate to <strong>Users &amp; Groups<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click on your username and then go to the <strong>Login Items<\/strong> tab<\/li>\n<li>Find <strong>DropSend Direct<\/strong>, highlight it and click on the <strong>minus button (-)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div>Now DropSend Direct won&#8217;t load on system startup.
